We’ve all seen the e-bikes / e-scooters on our streets and in the bikes lanes downtown or around university campus’s, they can be used like a bicycle, occupy roadways, and bike lanes.These two wheeler’s are completely unregulated under the Motor Vehicle Act or ICBC licencing regimes and are not considered a vehicle. They are unregistered and uninsured by ICBC for events involving harm to riders, cyclists pedestrians etc. The absence of regulation also created a void of data concerning accidents and impacts on others in public space.
